Round 3 NSWCC Motorkhana Series - 6th March, 2010

The day will be limited to 23 cars so we all get a decent run.

When : Saturday, 6th March, 2010

Where : The Skidpan, Eastern Creek Raceway, Ferrers road entry (where you would go to the pits for the drags)

Time : Arrival Time 8am. MUST BE AT DRIVERS BRIEFING AT 8:40AM. 1st car on pan 8:50am

Cost : $78.00 per person

The payment for the day will be required by the Saturday, 30th January at 5pm, and license must be applied for by then as well. However, YOU DO NOT HAVE A CONFIRMED START/POSITION/PLACE UNTIL PAYMENT IS RECIEVED.

PRIORITY WILL FIRST BE GIVE TO ALL NSWCC OFFICIAL MEMBERS THAT ARE CURRENTLY PARTICIPATING IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP (ANYONE WHO IS A PAID NSWCC MEMBER WHO HAS DRIVEN IN ROUND 1 OR 2.

I AM DOING IT THIS WAY AS THERE WERE MANY PEOPLE LEAVING IT TO THE LAST MINUTE, WITH MYSELF HAVING TO PAY THE ARDC OUT OF MY OWN POCKET

Food : Bring a packed lunch or catering may be available.

Meet Points : If we really need a meet point, let me know and I will put them up

IMPORTANT POINTS

1) ALL PARTICPANTS MUST BE A PAID MEMBER OF A CAMS AFFILIATED CLUB TO HOLD A CAMS LICENSE

2) THIS IS NOT A BURNOUT COMP. IF YOU WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN BURNOUTS, PLEASE ATTEND WISD ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT. WE UNDERSTAND THAT PEOPLE WILL BE SLIPPING AND SLIDING AND SPINING THE WHEELS, BUT ANYONE INTENTIONALLY DOING BURNOUTS OR CIRCLE WORK WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE

3) AT THIS POINT, CARS WILL HAVE TO HAVE A CURRENT NSW REGO. I WILL BE INVESTIGATING RACE CARS (Tinymonster etc etc) IN THE NEAR FUTURE. CHASERS ARE FINE, BUT AGAIN, THEY HAVE TO BE LEGAL. CARS WILL BE CHECKED OVER BY A CAMS SCRUITNEER ON THE DAY

4) PLEASE NOTE, AS WE ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS ON SITE, ON THE FORMS THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE SIGNING FOR THE DAY WHEN THEY ARRIVE, A DISCLAIMER WILL BE PRESENT. THIS WILL STATE, THAT ANY CARS THAT REQUIRE THE USE OF THE EXTINGUISHERS, WILL CONTRIBUTE TOWARDS THE REFILLING AND CHECKING OF THEM.

5) REFUNDS - THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS. AS YOU CAN ALL UNDERSTAND, THE SKID PAN COSTS A LOT TO HIRE, SO ONCE MONEY IS PAID, IT IS PAID. IF YOU CAN NOT ATTEND FOR WHATEVER REASON, TO GET A REFUND, YOU WILL NEED TO FIND SOMEONE TO TAKE YOUR PLACE AND THEY CAN PAY YOU THEIR MONEY

6) IF YOU JUST WISH TO COME ALONG AND SPECTATE, YOU MUST PUT YOUR NAME DOWN AS A SPECTATOR. IF YOU DO NOT, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY INTO THE CREEK. SAME THING AS A BOOKED NIGHTCLUB, NO NAME ON LIST...NO ENTRY.

7) Since we have a full compliment of cars attending this round (obviously assuming all 24 cars turn up), meaning that we will have 3 other cars running on the day. This means, short answer, 3 cars x 12 runs each = 36 extra runs than last round

8) This means that we will be starting at 8:50am and prob finish about 4:10pm.

9) Based on the times from the last round, all runs/cars have been allocated 90 seconds for each course. this doesn't mean that you will get in trouble or penalised if You take longer. lol. This will average throughout the day, as some courses will be less than 60 seconds.

10) 1st Car will be on the pan at 8:50am. DRIVERS BRIEFING IS 8:40AM. IF YOU ARE NOT AT THE DRIVERS BRIEFING, YOU WILL NOT BE COMPETING. MY SUGGESTION, GET THERE MUCH EARLIER THAN YOU NEED TO TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE THERE ON TIME. This was not enforced last time, but under the NCR's, competitors are not allowed to compete if not present for the Drivers Briefing at a CAMS event.

11) ANY DRIVING ON AT THE EVENT, NOT IN THE SPIRIT OF THE DAY, WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. WE WILL BE RUNNING SUCH A TIGHT DAY, THAT WE DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR PEOPLE BEING IDIOTS. There is a massive difference between having fun, driving well and enjoying yourself and wrecking the day for others because you are wasting time

12) You may use any car, but if you want to be counted in the points and the championship, then you must use the car you used previously in other rounds, unless this is your first time entering.




NOTE: As requested by the CAMS Officials at the last Skidpan Event, every person that is NOT a NSWCC Official & Paid Member MUST have written documentation and proof that they are a CURRENT financial member of a CAMS Affliated Club (all currently paid up & have an active membership). The CAMS Officials said they would let it slip last time, but we are not allowed to have members from another club at the event next time without written documentation and proof. Just letting you all know so if you do need to renew memberships to do it in the coming months.


POINTS and TIMING

Points will be awarded per round. Dependent on time, and how quickly we get through each course, there will be between 6-7 rounds. Plain and simple, person with the with the least points wins the day. Points will be awarded in the following way and based on fastest time per course :

1st 1 point
2nd 2 points
3rd 3 points
23rd 23 points
Incomplete Course 23 Points
Not starting a course 23 points

Times will be done on a stopwatch, and 5 seconds will be subtracted from the persons time for every witches hat that is hit, 20 seconds for going the wrong way. Timing will start when the car starts moving and when it has come to a complete stop in the garage area
